Good Morning Yamon Ki Yesepar;

Isaiah 3:1: “For behold , the Lord, the Lord of host, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.”

More literally in the Hebrew this verse starts off with: “For behold, the Lord (adoni – supreme judge)  Jehovah host (commander in chief).   This verse starts off by establishing that God Jehovah is the ultimate judge and the supreme commander.  His position is established, and with this position of power He is going to  “mesir” -“take away” or “remove.” In it’s primary state, the word “mesir” has the idea of taking the peace of God into hiding.  He is going to do this by removing the stay and the staff.  Actually the word stay and staff are both the same words in Hebrew – “sha’an.”  This means a support base.  God Jehovah is going to remove the  whole (kol) support base of  the bread and water.  In other words, the economy.  God is declaring that he is the support base, the supreme commander, the supreme judge of the economy.

I just heard on the news that as of this morning 8 Trillion dollars has been wiped out of the world economy.  Where did 8 Trillion dollars go?   People hiding it under a mattress, some dictator, hording it away?   No.  There was never 8 Trillion dollars there to begin with.  It was all an illusion.  A house that cost $250,000 to build in labor and material is suddenly worth $500,000.  Where did the extra $250,000 come from?  It came from someone who believed it was worth $500,000 and paid $500,000.   As the economy continues to go South, you constantly hear the economist saying: “The government must restore confidence in the market.”  What they are saying is that the government must restore the illusion that there is money out there –  $800 Billion dollars.  That will restore confidence, or the illusion that the banks now have money to spend on loans.  They take that illusionary money and loan it to business who need that illusionary money to meet your payroll and you take that illusionary money showing up on an electronic statement to the grocery store and used you plastic debit card to transfer some of that illusionary money into the grocery store’s account who will punch a couple keys on their computer and transfer those illusionary funds to a supplier who will punch some keys and transfer those illusionary funds to employees who will  – well go to the grocery store and….

The problem comes when people begin to pull a Jed Clampett from the Beverly Hillbilly’s and say: “But I want to see my money.”   The only thing you can see is on paper.  The only thing printed up on currency (bills and coins) in U.S. currency is $500 Billion Dollars.   Of course you can go downtown and see it in the Sears Tower which someone has said is worth $1 Billion dollars. But what if someone decides it is worth only  $1 Million dollars.  You’ve just wiped out $999 Million dollars for the portfolios of banks, insurance companies,  and other businesses and when it comes to borrow money to pay employees the lenders will look at their portfolios and say you no longer have enough assets to back up our loan so we ain’t giving it to you.  Suddenly the employees get laid off and no numbers are transferred to their piece of paper to transfer to the grocery store’s piece of paper – well you get the point.

So who is behind all this illusion?   The supreme judge, commander, Jehovah and if He says I think I will pull the plug, He will pull the plug.

My whole point is this.  You believe in the money illusion because that  bank card works.  That piece of paper will exchange for a Big Mac. But as we are seeing unfolding now is that people are waking up to the illusion or confidence in the market and they no longer have the illusion or confidence and suddenly – you can figure it out.

So is believing in an unseen God who has never failed me yet, who has always been there to comfort me and to lift me up; any different than believing in 8 Trillion dollars that was never there in the first place. When the bubble burst, my God is going to be there because He is no illusion.
