Isaiah 57:15: “I dwell in a high and holy place with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”

I woke up this morning and could not go back to sleep.  Every time I closed my eyes, I could only think about my circumstances I would face the following day and the painful decisions I had to make.  The calendar showed the eleventh hour had passed and despite all my self-sufficiencies, the barbarians were still waiting at the gate to devour me.

I read Isaiah 57:15 and I said to myself. “Yep, that’s me, I have a shepal contrite and daka humble spirit, even though I haven’t foggiest idea what a shepal contrite and daka humble spirit is, the verse does say my contrite and humble spirit needs reviving and I sure need reviving and contrite and humble must be mixed in there somewhere.

Anyways, my reality was sure not doing me any good this morning, so I took my spiritual backpack and stepped out of my world of reality and went behind my Looking Glass in search of my two friends who never fail to comfort me, Daka  Humility which is spelled Daleth, Kap, Aleph and represents a portal to filling your heart with God  for God can only fill a humble heart and Shepal Contrite which is spelled Shin, Pei and Lamed which represents spoken words in prayer that bring divine power and peace. A contrite spirit will bring God’s power and peace.

Well, things did not look much better behind the Looking Glass. I found myself on a dry, dusty road.  All around me was desert sand.  Fine thing, I thought, even behind my Looking Glass my world is barren. Yet, I knew Daka  Humility and Shepal Contrite dwelled somewhere in this land and I had to find them or I will have no hope.

There was a signpost ahead, it said, “Next Stop, Kodesh ShakanHoly Place:  Miles -More than you can walk.”  I knew Kodesh Shakan Holy Place was the dwelling place for Daka Humility and Shepal Contrite.  Since my reality was even bleaker, I decided to follow this barren lonely road behind the Looking Glass to  Kodesh Shakan  the Holy Place.

After what seems like hours of walking in this desert I saw a couple figures lying in the road, gasping for breath.  I ran up to them, it was Daka’ Humility  and his companion Shepal Contrite.   Daka’ Humility, Shepal Contrite, what are you doing here, and what is wrong.  Why Daka Humility you are supposed to be a portal to being filled with God’s heart and Shepal Contrite you are the words that bring the power of God, how have you come to this state.

Daka Humility managed to gasp, “Yes, we are indeed all these thing and more, but without Kodesh Shakan the Holy Place we are but a shadow.  “Oh, Daka Humility,“  I took Daka Humility in my arms and embraced him and we both wept as I said, “I read about your Shadowed state in the Lexicon, it means you are broken, crushed, trampled upon, bruised. I too bear your shadow.  Oh, Daka Humility, why has this awful state come upon us?”   Daka Humility wept and told me that it was our separation from the Kodesh Shakan the Holy Place that brought us to this horrible state.

I looked over to Shepal Contrite, he was waving for me to come over to him.  I immediately went to him and knelt down next to him.  “Shepal Contrite” I said: “You too are in your shadow state, you are brought down and lowly.”  “Go ahead say it, its ok.”  Groaned Shepal Contrite.   No, I shant not say it, but I did read about the shadow state of Shepal Contrite, it was depression and Shepal showed all the classic signs of depression. “Oh,” Shepal Contrite, “You were such a noble friend, how often I have used you to call upon God for His Divine power.  No wonder I could not call upon God for His Divine power, not when you were in your Shadow state of depression.”  I gathered my precious friends, Daka Humility, and Shepal Contrite into my arms and wept; “Oh, what shall we do, I must get you to Kodesh Shakan the Holy Place, we all must get to Kodesh Shakan the Holy Place or we will surely be consumed by our brokenness and depression. Yet, the sign says that it is further than we can walk.

Suddenly, we heard in the distance someone singing: “Near a cavern, across from a canyon, excavating for a mine, lived a miner forty niner and his daughter Clementine.  Oh my darling, on my darling on my darling Clementine. You are lost and gone forever, dreadful sorrow Clementine.”   “Who is that?” asked Shepal Contrite.   “Not sure” I said. “I recognize the song, it is about a mining foreman in the mid 1800’s who daughter drowned in a river.  Every miner was like a brother to the daughter, Clementine and the song was sort of a memorial to her and the sorrow they felt over her loss.

Sure enough  a Chet appeared dressed as an old miner,  pulling a Yod like an old mule hitched to a Hei like an old wagon.  Chet stopped  and introduced himself as Chayah (Chet,Yod, He) and said he is out looking for all the Clementine’s in the desert. Those who have go astray from the Father.  The Father sent Chayah out to find them and bring them to Kodesh Shakan the Holy Place.   “Kodesh Shakan the Holy Place” I shouted, “You will really take us to Kodesh Shakan the Holy Place? As well as my two pals Daka Humility and Shepal Contrite?   Chet looked at my two worn friends and ask: “Daka Humility? Shepal Contrite? Is that you, oh what has this wilderness done to you.  You are only your Shadows. Come, all of you hop on Hei,  My Yod (messenger from heaven) will lead the way back to Kodesh Shakan the Holy Place.

Well, I back at my desk, feeling much better thanks to Chayah, Daka, Shepal and Kodesh Shakan You see Chayah means restoration, or to revive.  The Chayah Restoration was sent out by Kodesh Shakan with means a Holy Place, but more than that,  it means to tabernacle, inhabit.   Kodesh Shakan is the same root as Shekinah like the Shekinah glory.  The Shekinah is the place where you can explore the divine feminine the loving, caring and nurturing presence of God.  It is the place of restoration. It is being inhabited by God Himself.   Daka  Humility and Shepal Contrite are often the road that brings us to the Shekinah and where Daka Humility and Shepal Contrite can shed their shadow and become the portal to a  heart filled with God and the words to his divine power.

So if you are wandering in a desert today, don’t overlook  two shadows lying in the road, it may be Daka Humility and Shepal Contriteness.   Embrace them and wait for  Chayah Restoration to come to take you to Shekinah.  The Chet (joining with God) is out there prospecting for you, for the Chet has been sent out to mine for you.  You see, God has sent him out prospecting for gold. Just remain humble and contrite and the Shekinah will find you.
